Kajal made her debut in Telugu cinema with the film Lakshmi Kalyanam in 2007, but it was her role in Chandamama that truly brought her into the spotlight that same year. Her performance in the blockbuster Magadheera (2009), where she starred alongside Ram Charan as Princess Indu, catapulted her to fame, making it one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of its time.
She continued her success with a series of popular films such as Darling, Brindavanam, Mr. Perfect, Businessman, Naayak, Baadshah, Temper, and Khaidi No. 150, solidifying her status as one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema.
Kajal made her return to Bollywood with Singham in 2011, acting opposite Ajay Devgn. Her role as Kavya Bhosale earned her a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Debut. In 2013, she appeared alongside Akshay Kumar in Special 26, receiving acclaim for her performance. Although her Bollywood projects were few, she made a lasting impact with each character she portrayed.
Currently, Kajal is busy filming for Indian 3 and is set to appear in the upcoming Telugu film Kannappa, where she will portray Goddess Parvati, with Akshay Kumar expected to make a cameo. Additionally, she has projects like Uma and Kajal Karthika lined up.
